The Blizard Symposium on Cell and Molecular Science was held on Friday 16th March 2007 in the Perrin Lecture Theatre. Eight experts from the USA , Europe and the UK gave outstanding talks describing their current research into models of human disease, the genetic and immunological basis of diseases, and the roles of bacterial immunity. The highly successful day was attended by members of the ICMS, other components of the Medical and Dental Schools , and academics from other UK research centres. Further issues at the forefront of medical research will be addressed in the symposium now being organised for the coming year.
