Biography

Having been awarded an entrance Exhibition to read Classics, Vicky graduated in Medical Sciences from Cambridge University in 1985 and completed her clinical training at St Mary's Hospital, London . She was appointed Clinical Senior Lecturer in the Centre for Cutaneous Research and Honorary Consultant in Dermatology at the Royal London Hospital in February 2004. She is Course Director for the UK Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology.

 

Academic Activity

Vicky has a special interest in Medical Education and the interface between Primary and Secondary Care. Having previously worked as a General Practitioner she is in a privileged position as a Consultant to understand the educational needs of primary care practitioners, and has developed the UK Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology into a web-based blended teaching programme for 50 General Practitioners. She is also involved in the education of undergraduates at QMUL and as a holder of the ARCM she is active in violin teaching and performing.
