National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) Shared Learning Awards 2011
Clinical Effectiveness Group (CEG) has emerged as a finalist in the NICE Shared Learning Awards for 2011.
Statins for Ischaemic heart disease: Excellence and equity.
"The East London Clinical Effectiveness Group has helped improve prescribing of generic simvastatin to people with ischaemic heart disease in three inner London PCTs, particularly in South Asian people. As a result, 4,000 extra patients are now on statins, resulting in 37 fewer heart attacks or deaths from this cause every year."

John Perry Prize 2010
Clinical Effectiveness Group (CEG) has been awarded the prestigious John Perry Prize 2010 for excellence in innovation in primary health care and computing from the Primary Health Care Group of the British Computer Society.
The CEG received £500 and a certificate. The history of this prize can be viewed here

"Queen Mary's Clinical Effectiveness Group (CEG) recently won a national prize from a national guidelines journal, the Guidelines in Practice Awards 2004. The team won the award for implementing the National Service Framework for Coronary Heart Disease for their East London Coronary Heart Disease Guidelines. "
