Angela completed a BSc in Biology with a minor in Political Science from the University of Evansville in Southern Indiana in 2006. After a gap year, she gained an MSc in Control of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2008 where she focused on health economics and disease modelling. She then went to the Health Protection Agency’s Centre for Infections to work on a project estimating the lifetime costs associated with the treatment and care of an HIV-positive individual diagnosed with HIV in the UK. This was a collaborative effort between many stakeholders, including the National AIDS Trust and the Terrence Higgins Trust. Angela joined the Centre for  Primary Care and Public Health in June 2009.
