After completing a BSc in Mathematics and Applied Statistics (Reading University, 2003) and an MSc in Statistics with Applications in Medicine (Southampton University, 2004), Clare spent two years as a statistician at the Medical Research Council Clinical Trials Unit, London, working on a large phase III HIV prevention trial, part of the Microbicides Development Programme. In 2007 Clare joined the Clinical Trials Unit at the Institute of Psychiatry, London, where she was the trial statistician for several randomised controlled trials in the areas of dementia, forensic mental health, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and neurological conditions. She is also a tutor on the distance learning MSc in Clinical Trials run by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
She joined the Centre for Primary Care and Public Health in March 2009.
