Douglas read science and medicine at St. Andrews and Oxford Universities. From 2006-2008 he worked as Clinical Adviser to the Chief Medical Officer, Sir Liam Donaldson, working on three successive annual reports on the state of public health in the UK. Douglas has worked extensively with the World Health Organization and has been involved in leading the development of several WHO reports. He completed a master’s degree in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, USA in 2009. Recently he was advising the UK Cabinet Office on their report: Behavioural Insights for Health, and co-produced the report: Public Health Our Voice, for the British Medical Association. He is currently a Public Health Registrar in the London Deanery and an Honorary Visiting Fellow at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford.
