Our postgraduate courses have developed in response to the research teaching and training needs of individuals pursuing careers in disciplines encompassed by the Institute. Each course has a unique structure designed to best meet these needs.
The purpose of the courses is threefold. First they provide instruction in research methodology; second they give background to the subjects taught; and they give practical laboratory/research exposure.
They are suitable for foreign graduates wishing to develop a specialist area as part of their career course in their home country. They are also suitable for SpRs in the UK who wish to have a one year course in research methodology in addition to their training.
A proportion of MSc students stay at the College to pursue either PhDs or MDs following the MSc. Many of our MSc graduates are now consultants in hospitals throughout the UK and overseas.We offer the following postgraduate programmes:
