Project: Investigation of colorectal motility components in health and constipation

Sahar interest involves studying and exploring the mechanisms component behind colorectal motility. She also aim to provide a better understanding of the pathophysiology of many so called “benign motility disorder” mainly constipation, which is enormously prevalent in the general population and conveys a huge socioeconomic burden, as well as individual suffering. A better comprehension of the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying this disorder is vital to subclassifying patients into more homogenous groups, which should allow better targeting of existing and novel therapies.
