Muse Absolute Counts and Viability Kit

This kit makes use of the fact that the Muse instrument takes a measured volume when analysing allowing absolute counts to be calculated in all Muse kits. The reagent used employs a combination of two fluorescent DNA dyes in which all nucelated cells are fluorescently labelled Red and dead cells with PI, see figure. Thus if your sample has a high RBC contamination the Muse cell count kit will not include these in a count. The user friendly program allows the calculation of counts per ml and total volume.
